SketcheS Live in London
First Sketch from Andrew Burns Colwill’s SketcheS exhibition at The Bocabar Bristol comes to life in live paint in London.
Andrew Burns Colwill’s latest exhibition ‘SketcheS’ opened at the Bocabar on 24 July. The show is a mix of originals and SketcheS of future works in the pipeline which he has worked on canvas rather than paper. “It is a great opportunity to show some new work and give people an insight into the process of how I produce my pieces.”
The first Sketch ‘Harmony’ came to life as a live paint for the launch of 50-50 a new show at The Crow’s Nest Gallery in London which opened last Friday. The show is organised by Artistic UK which brings 50 artists together with 50 charities over a three week event. Andrew said “I was honoured to be part of the launch and delighted to work with Colin Sugden and his team from Artistic UK in this brilliant project. It was also a fabulous opportunity to paint ‘Harmony’ in front of an audience.”
The painting is about Andrew’s hoped for vision for society and about the painting he said “Harmony is about peoples learning to live and become partners in life without being dictated to or corrupted by their given races or religions. They live in harmony together, they create a family together, whatever they want to do, without any discrimination.”
