With over 100 animal species to see (from chicks to elephants!) we’re an amazing location for your next trip.
With support from the Education Team, planning a trip to the Noah’s ark Zoo Farm couldn’t be easier. They can assist you with planning your day by recommending a number of itineraries, suggesting keeper talks and offering teaching ideas/resources appropriate to your class. Whether you’re interested in the curriculum linked workshops, delivered by their highly qualified and knowledgeable team, or prefer to lead your own self-guided visit, they have all the information you need to plan a great trip.
Their ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ accredited Education Programme offers an extensive variety of teaching sessions and learning resources to help communicate the National Curriculum in a fun, stimulating environment.
There is a range of exciting and hands-on workshops, all using the National Curriculum objectives as their foundation. From consulting with many teachers about their specific topic aims (and from our own wealth of experience) we have transformed these objectives into fun and interactive learning experiences. All of the workshops have been carefully designed to provide children with hands-on learning opportunities, games, activities and an experience to remember. What’s more, all sessions involve the opportunity to meet real-life animals up close!
The Education Team at Noah’s Ark pride themselves on delivering workshops that are appropriate to all audiences including those from multi-faith or non-religious backgrounds. Sessions can be linked to the National Curriculum, or specific syllabi as required. Don’t see what you need? The team are happy to discuss any bespoke workshop requirements with you.
If you can’t make it to the zoo, then let them bring the zoo to you! The team can deliver exciting and interactive visits at a venue of your choice. Sessions outside the zoo include some of the smaller animals and the team can bring animal artefacts, such as skins, bones, skulls and teeth to support learning. The zoo offers a range of workshops which are educational and fun, or alternatively they can create a bespoke session based on your needs and requirements.
