Kingswood Pupils Take Part In Plastic Beach Clean In Wales
Kingswood pupils have participated in the first beach clean-up at Newton Beach, Porthcawl in Wales.
The group split into two teams for the beach clean, with one group scouring the dunes for plastic and litter whilst the other group walked along the beach to search for rubbish.
From windbreakers to straws, parasols to bottle caps and a doll’s head to bicycle lights, the group found lots of recyclable waste on the 3km stretch of beach.
The group then stopped for a lunch break which was followed by a competitive game of rounders on the beach with Mr Brown and his son carrying their team to victory.
The group returned to Kingswood with the rubbish which was sorted and recycled.
